It starts with a bang

This morning we were woken up at 4:26 AM by a thunderous sound and our house literally shaking.  It turns out this was an explosion (Watson Grinding in Houston, TX).  This blast was felt and heard all over the Houston Area.  We are about 7 miles from where this occurred, but still experienced the impressive force.

Turn to Reddit and find lots of other people are awake and asking, "What the hell was that?"

Strange way to begin a Friday (and a Blog).

My first thought was, "Is Captain Benny's Okay?"  Captain Benny's is a boat-shaped restaurant that I recently convinced my wife and friends to try out this Saturday.  Have no fear, Captain Benny's is surely waiting for us to enjoy it's bountiful seafood offerings.  Perhaps I'll blog about that experience once it occurs.

Anyways, just wanted to test out this new blog software.  I promise to be more interesting in the future.
